Where Ancient Heritage Meets the Living Volcano.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION Mount Merapi is one of Indonesia’s most active volcanoes, making every visit a unique natural experience. The visibility of glowing lava depends entirely on volcanic activity, weather conditions, and cloud cover. While we always strive to provide the best possible experience, lava sightings cannot be guaranteed and are therefore not eligible for cancellation, complaints, or refunds. The average nighttime temperature at the observation area ranges from 17°C to 20°C (63°F–68°F). For your comfort, we recommend wearing a light jacket or fleece, long-sleeved clothing, and comfortable closed-toe shoes. A scarf or beanie is also recommended for guests who are more sensitive to cooler temperatures. Travelers accustomed to colder climates may find the weather pleasantly refreshing.
