My daughter wanted to add: Even in the middle of day 1 we “forgot” that they were our guide. They became more like friends who are showing you around a city and culture they are very proud of.

My daughter and I are extremely pleased with the excellent services offered by the Borobudur Sunrise team. The whole experience right from the enquiry stage was professional, transparent and well tuned to our needs. We got a chance to see the magnificent temples, the Merapi volcano and the unforgettable Ramayana Ballet. Mr Andi Rahmat Purwoko was our guide - he is extremely knowledgeable and always keen to help. Indian epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata are very close to my heart - and also something that I study seriously as part of my professional work. Especially in bringing these stories to life through dialogue and theatre. I must say I was very impressed with Andi’s knowledge and humbled by the journey that he has taken with these stories. If you are taking their services, I would recommend that you read some of these stories a bit so your conversations are also richer! He’s clued in to all the logistics and nuances of every thing that a tourist would need. Our driver Mr Adi Prabangkara was very supportive through these 2 days; he really knows his way around - shortcuts to save time and traffic and is extremely kind and helpful especially when it came to taking care of our things and even helping us get some items to suit our health and diet needs. He is very skilled- navigating some of the more difficult terrain with ease especially in rural areas where the roads can be quite challenging. When you come back with no back aches and so on, you know you have been in the hands of a good vehicle and a skilled driver! 5 stars to the entire team! Will definitely reach out when we come back and also recommend to our friends and family.
