IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Mount Merapi is one of Indonesia’s most active volcanoes, making every visit a unique natural experience. The visibility of glowing lava depends entirely on volcanic activity, weather conditions, and cloud cover.
While we always strive to provide the best possible experience, sightings of glowing lava cannot be guaranteed. As this is a natural phenomenon beyond our control, the absence of visible lava does not qualify for cancellations, complaints, refunds, or compensation.
The average nighttime temperature at the observation area ranges between 17°C and 20°C (63°F–68°F). For your comfort, we recommend wearing a light jacket or fleece, long-sleeved clothing, comfortable closed-toe shoes, and, if desired, a scarf or beanie. Guests from cooler climates generally find the mountain air pleasantly refreshing.
Please Note:
• No trekking or hiking is involved in this experience.
• Guests will not climb or trek to the summit of Mount Merapi.
• The experience takes place at a safe and easily accessible lava observation area, where you can relax and enjoy spectacular nighttime views of Mount Merapi and, when conditions permit, witness the natural glow of molten lava from a distance.
• This experience is suitable for all ages, including families, children, and seniors.
